This space serves as a living room, a family room, a music space,
a reading space, and a resting place.
The furniture was chosen based on the ages of the children living
in this household for comfort as well as for longevity.
The colours are a combiation of earthy colours as well as
favourites of household members that denote comfort, warmth and connection.

Guest room in a vacation cottage by a lake.
This house has all walls and ceiling paneled with wood,
and the floor is hardwood floor.

The "before" picture was taken with same lighting and camera as the "after" picture.
The simple change in drapery and coverlet on the beds reflected the already exisitng light.
The turquoise blue details is a favorite colour of the homeowner
as refelcted in the framed stitchings above the beds brought in from other rooms in the house.

Bedroom in a vacation cottage by a lake

The love seat was removed for a beautiful heirloom secretaire
and two antique chairs. Pictures were brought in from other rooms
to complement the European turn of the century feel of this room.

This basement space was transformed into a zen bedroom where simplicity reigns.
Easy to upkeep and to maintain.
All rice paper and bamboo panels roll up for easy access to storage spaces.
The ceiling is made of fabric that resembles ocean waves on a dark night.
